2012 Alentejo DOC Reserva, Dolium, Alentejo, Portugal

Very lightly fleshy and dried herbal, also delicately tobacco aromas with rather tart aromas of black berries and cherries, floral nuances, lots of pomegranate and a hint of blood orange. Taut, juicy, tart fruit with herbal and delicate floral notes, lively, fine acidity and still youthful tannin, persistent on the palate, rather cool for all its power, very much alive, peppery tones in the background, has grip and bite, a certain depth, mineral hints, still little developed but already animating, nutty and herbal aromas, slightly spicy, a hint of toasty, very good to long finish.
