The estate is located in the municipality Neumarkt (Egna) in the Italian wine-growing area South-Tirol
(Region Trentino-Alto Adige
). It was founded in 1987 by Peter Dipoli, who after his training at the Institute in San Michele all'Adige
and returned to the parental fruit farm after five years at the Laimburg Experiment Center. The start was made by buying 1.2 hectares in the district Penon the municipality Kurtatsch. After a complete replanting of the vineyard with Sauvignon Blanc vines in 1990, the first harvest. In the first years the grapes were processed externally, in 1998 a cellar was put into operation. The vineyards cover 4.6 hectares of vineyards. They are planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. There are the three wines Fihl (Merlot), Iugum (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and Voglar (Sauvignon Blanc) as DOC South Tyrol
vinified. Every year around 40,000 bottles of wine are produced.
