The estate is located in the municipality of Hohenwarth in the southwest of the Lower Austrian wine region Weinviertel, It is run by Petra and Leopold Hofbauer-Schmidt in the sixth family generation. Guest rooms are connected. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards of Berg, Böndl, Hintaus, Hochstraß, Kögl, Lehen, Mühlweg, Rennweg, Satzgraben and Waidenthal. They are planted with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Roter Veltliner, Riesling and Grüner Sylvaner, as well as with the red varieties Zweigelt and Blauburger. It is consistently natural, environmentally friendly viticulture Guidelines with, for example, use of predatory mites practiced in pest control. In the period from late October to early June, the soil is not worked in order not to disturb the vineyard flora and fauna and to prevent humus degradation and erosion. The selective harvest is carried out exclusively by hand. In order to take advantage of the principle of gravity, the press house was built on three floors. Thanks to the short distances and the quick, clean processing, everything can be done sulphurize the mash and the must be dispensed with.

When expanding the wines, care is taken to emphasize the subtle differences between the individual grape varieties, locations and vintages. The premium wines include several (Grüner Veltliner), Roter Veltliner Alte Rebe, Weißburgunder Ried Satzgraben and Riesling Alte Reben, as well as the red wine cuvées "Imposant Hohenwarther Freiheit" and "Reserve" (both from the varieties Blauburger and Zweigelt).
