The estate is located in the municipality of Hohenwarth in the southwest of the Lower Austrian wine region Weinviertel
, It is run by Petra and Leopold Hofbauer-Schmidt in the sixth family generation. Guest rooms are connected. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards of Berg, Böndl, Hintaus, Hochstraß, Kögl, Lehen, Mühlweg, Rennweg, Satzgraben and Waidenthal. When expanding the wines, care is taken to emphasize the subtle differences between the individual grape varieties, locations and vintages. The premium wines include several (Grüner Veltliner), Roter Veltliner Alte Rebe, Weißburgunder Ried Satzgraben and Riesling Alte Reben, as well as the red wine cuvées "Imposant Hohenwarther Freiheit" and "Reserve" (both from the varieties Blauburger and Zweigelt). Regular customers include numerous upscale restaurants, vinotheques and many long-standing private customers from all over Austria and Germany. Bottle-fermented sparkling wine and fine brandies are also produced. Events with wine, music and culinary events are regularly held at the Winzerhof, with the net proceeds from the culinary offerings being used for charitable purposes such as "Licht ins Dunkel". The winery is a member of the winegrowers' association Weingüter Weinviertel.
