2013 Chianti Classico DOCG le fioraie, Tuscany, Italy

Firm, tart and surprisingly cool-looking fragrance of red and black berries, with cherry ripeness, dry herbs, pepper and earthy-mineral notes. Quite tight-knit, ripe, juicy fruit with spicy notes, some cocoa, coffee and again hints of pepper, fine bite and present, also mature tannins, a lot of power, but also again cooling elements, somewhat ethereal in the background, earthy, salty and chalky Tones, persistent, good depth, quite complex, still young, very good to long, juicy, spicy and mineral finish. First class.
