2013 Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva "le fioraie", Tuscany, Italy

Somewhat dried-vegetable to slightly tobacco and a little earthy aroma of mixed berries and hints of cherries with delicately spicy, nutty and iodine tones as well as a hint of tar. Tart, animatingly fresh fruit with a delicate acid bite and relatively present, yet rather fine tannins, moderate, slightly chocolaty wood notes on the palate, a touch of tobacco and tar, good persistence, has power but also a certain elegance, mineral hints in the background, good depth, very good, tight finish with fresh, rather fine juice and spice. Impresses much more with its finesse than with power
