2006 Venezia Giulia IGT Pinot Grigio Olivers, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Partly dried pomaceous fruit and melon on the nose, candied nuts and spicy oak. Tart again on the palate, fairly prominent oak, elegant acidity, vegetal notes, fruit already slightly fragile, but quite creamy and full-bodied, slightly astringent tannins, attractive to good finish.

Editor note: Pomaceous fruit and melon on the nose, herbs and spices, light mineral and nutty notes, sweetish spicy oak. Quite concentrated and juicy on the palate, prominent spicy oak, candied nuts, slightly sandy tannins in the background, very full-bodied and creamy, herbaceous and prominent mineral notes, persistent, has some depth, good long finish.
