2015 Pays d'Oc IGP Syrah Cuvée Balthazar, Languedoc, France

Very slightly herbal, herbal and chocolatey scent of mixed berries and cherries with earthy, delicate herbaceous and nutty notes. Relatively slender fruit with prominent chocolate notes, youthful, rather mellow tannins, a touch of pepper, fairly persistent, easily noticeable alcohol, hints of ashy bitter in the background, not very deep, attractive finish.
