1999 San Colombano al Lambro DOC, Lombardy, Italy

Intense, slightly sweet nose dominated by new oak, with some chocoloate, polish and red berries. Prominent oak on the palate, too, berry fruit still dominated by sweet oak, medium-bodied with some substance, not particularly deep, prominent, very slightly astringent tannins, attractive to good finish.
