2003 San Colombano al Lambro DOC, Lombardy, Italy

Subdued, quite mature cranberry nose with some delicate spice and dark chocolate notes. Sweetish red berry fruit in the mouth, quite juicy and has some charm, moderate acidity not quite enough to balance the wine, warm climate evidence, but at the same time typically North Italian, cocoa notes, has some structure and body, already fairly mature, fairly prominent tannins, good finish.
