2004 Collina del Milanese IGT Rosso della Costa, Lombardy, Italy

Fairly open nose, tart preserved mixed berries and cherries, some licorice, dried flowers in the background, roasted spicy oak. Fairly juicy on the palate, but also loads of oak and extremely dry, sandy tannins, vegetal notes, light acid bite, lacks depth. very astringent again on an oak-dominated finish.
