2003 Friuli Grave DOC Merlot Riserva, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Mature nose with light oxidative and malted notes, berries, undergrowth and medicinal herbs. Noticeably mature on the palate, slightly sweetish, mature and partly dried berry fruit, quite prominent herbaceous notes, coffee, moderate, slightly prominent tannins, not a lot of substance or depth, has grown old gracefully, attractive to good ifnish.
