2005 Collio DOC Cabernet, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Red berries on the nose, light burnt notes, bell peppers and green herbs, hint of undergrowth. Fairly mature on the palate, cool and quite light-bodied, delicate spicy fruit, cassis and red currants, hint of roasted bell peppers, some herbs and vegetal notes, hint of undrgrwoth, integrated tannins, shows its origins clearly, has backbone and good structure, very slightly bitter on an otherwise good finish.
