2005 Collio DOC Merlot, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Fairly mature berry nose, delicate hint of chocolate, light animal notes, roasted notes. Partly dried dark and red berries on the palate, spicy undergrowth, hint of truffles, mineral traces, some dark chocolate, delicate vegetal notes, firm and cool style, integrated, slightly dusty and slightly astringent tannins, delicate bitter note on an attractive to good finish.
