2005 Friuli Grave DOC Cabernet Sauvignon, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Fairly mature nose, cassis and berries with light plummy notes, some earthy notes and old oak. Crisp and quite firm on the palate, sweetish and tart red currant fruit, cranberries and some cassis, slightly prominent but fairly well integrated fine-grained tannins, not particularly deep, but has a light bite and some substance, attractive to good finish.
