2006 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Piaggione, Tuscany, Italy

Dried, herbal, somewhat vegetal, woody and a hint of animal aroma of partly preserved cherries and mixed berries with delicate candied notes. Taut and juicy in the mouth, ripe, partly candied fruit with delicate chocolaty notes, herbs and clear, tart minerality in the background, very fine, polished, original tannins, lasting on the palate, excellent depth, very good to long, juicy, already animating finish.
