2014 Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Firm, slightly underwoody, earthy and tobacco-like nose, red and black berries, with tarry notes. Clear, polished, tart and juicy fruit on the palate, nutty, tobacco and very slightly roasted aromas, very fine tannins and some bite, good persistence, touch of cocoa and pepper on the palate, again a hint of tar, good substance and persistence, very good, juicy and slightly cocoa-spicy finish.
