2010 Roero DOCG Riserva Pulciano®, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly mature nose, iodine, some old oak, hint of tobacco, partly dried red and black berries, peppery traces, some dried tomatoes. Fairly mature, tart, relatively dark fruit on the palate, fine, sandy, ripe tannins, earthy and dried vegetal notes, some iodine, good persistence, light acid bite, tart spicy traces in the background, hint of bacon, prominent herbaceous notes, quite polished on a very good finish.
