2011 Roero DOCG Riserva Benedet, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly mature nose, nutty notes and a hint of tobacco, red and a few black berries, leaves and earthy notes. Tart fruit on the palatze, light peppery spice and some tobacco, vegetal notes, light acid bite, firm, fine, sandy tannins, good persistence, salty mineral notes in the background, herbaceous traces, quite complex, dried vegetal and mineral notes on a very good firm, tart, juicy finish.
