2013 Langhe DOC Barbera Montevada, Piedmont, Italy

Tart nose, light earthy and dried vegetal as well as floral notes, red and black berries, hint of undergrowth and tobacco. Tart fruit on the palate, earthy and dried vegetal notes, undergrowth, hint of juniper and bay leaf, slightly sandy and slightly astringent tannins, light acid bite, fairly rustic style, hint of mushrooms, good to very good tart finish.
