2013 Toscana IGT "Chorus", Tuscany, Italy

Tart, somewhat muted, rather animalistic nose of black berries with cedar and tobacco notes, a little pepper, liquorice and bitter chocolate aromas. Ripe, partly preserved, warm fruit with chocolaty and coffee-spicy wood aromas, a lot of crumbly-sandy tannin and a little bite, strong and a little compote on the palate, strong alcohol, spicy, slightly ethereal, very good, re-concentrated juicy and chocolaty spicy finish
