2003 Goriška brda Merlot trocken Merlot Brijač, Primorska, Slovenia

Fairly mature and slightly burnt nose, red berries and some flinty notes. Fairly uncomplicated style, moderate red berries and plums on the palate, hint of milky caramel, light herbaceous notes, touch of coffee, has some substance, delicate earthy notes, vegetal and mineral traces, fairly prominent and slightly astringent tannins, attractive finish. Rather closed.
