2003 Friuli Grave DOC Rok, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Smoked notes on the nose, behind this sour cherries, black berries, dried tomatoes, some peppers and dried herbs. Quite juicy fruit, sweetish, spicy oak, fine tannins, vanilla and some anise on the palate, very slightly astringent, medium-bodied, fruit and lots of sweetish spicy oak on the finish.
