1999 Barbaresco DOCG Riserva Ovello, Piedmont, Italy

Firm, slightly smoky nose with ripe red berries, partly dried prunes and some cherries, with notes of wilted leaves, spices and dried flowers. More partly dried fruit in the mouth, complex and spicy, veryfine tannins with good presence, concentrated and firm on the palate, persistent, good depth, both tart and sweet spices at the same time, very harmonious, good long finish.
