Fully mature nose, oxidative with partly dried mixed berries, cherries and plums, malted notes, some dried herbs and roasted oak. Also fully mature on the palate, lots of tart spicy oak, medium-fine astringent tannins, fruit slightly hidden, dried herbs in the background, tobacco, has bite, lacks charm, a little too dry and dominated by oak, not particularly deep, attractive finish.

Best to drink: 2008+. What our ratings mean
