2001 Barolo DOCG Bussia, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Mature nose with ripe, partly presrved partly dried red berries and plums, blueberries, sweetish spicy notes, roasted oak, Havana tobacco and mineral traces. Also fairly mature on the palate, more tobacco, with dried flowers and dried herbs, ripe, quite juicy fruit, mineral notes in the background, noticeable oak, quite fine, fairly prominent tannins, unfortunately also rather astringent oak tannins, full-bodied, good depth, medium length. Would be much better with less oak.
