2005 Barolo DOCG Bussia, Piedmont, Italy

Translate to English Deutlich entwickelter, tabakiger und deutlich jodiger Duft mit mehr rot- als schwarzbeerigen Aromen, getrockneten Blüten, Laub und ein wenig Kaffeesatz sowie holzigen Tönen und Sojasauce. Reife, warme, entwickelte Frucht, rauchige Holzaromen, Bitterschokolade, Kaffee und Esskastanien, Jod und aschige Töne, präsentes, sandiges, etwas trocknendes Tannin, gewisse Nachhaltigkeit, spürbarer Alkohol, ein wenig Salz im Hintergrund, guter bis sehr guter, nur auch ein wenig bitterlicher Abgang. Schon etwas über seiner besten Zeit.

Editor note: Restrained berry fruit on the nose, meaty notes, some sugar candy, earthy and light mineral notes, hint of soup greens, smoky and roasted notes, spicy oak. Fairly cool fruit on the palate, vegetal notes, smoky and roasted notes, oak, fine sandy and slightly astringent tannins, cedary notes in the background, good persistence and substance, full-bodied and quite firm, lively and has some depth, mineral traces, very good finish.
