2005 Crasto, Douro, Portugal

Preserved black berries, sour cherries and some plums on the nose, roasted notes and licorice, floral notes, herbs and spices. Soft on the palate with delicate lactic notes, more floral notes and dark berry fruit, some vanilla and oak, fairly moderate, medium-fine, slightly astringent tannins, overall a little superficial with high alcohol, attractive finish.
