Quinta do Vale Meão - F. Olazabal & Filhos Lda
Winery Wines

2004, Douro, Portugal

Black berries, juniper and meat stock on the nose, roasted notes and pencil shavings. Full-bodied and quite concentrated, lots of oak, prominent roasted notes and astringent tannins, fruit rather hidden, dark chocolate on the palate, noticeable alcohol, lacks depth, slightly vrittle, oaky with dark roasted notes on the finish. No trace of its origins, and rather overdone.
