2015 Barbera d'Alba DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Fairly tart nose, dark berries, plums and sour cherries with dried vegetal notes, pomegranate and hints of licorice. Fairly juicy fruit on the palate, fine, youthful tannins, light acid bite, dried vegetal and herbaceous notes, light earthy notes and some spice in the background, still slightly astringent, good substance and persistence, tart, juicy and delicate peppery notes on a good to very good finish.
