2001 Barolo DOCG Bricco Francesco, Piedmont, Italy

Editor note: Slightly vague nose, some roasted notes and chocolate, notes of preserved berries and dried prunes. Uncomplicated and quite accessible, slightly dissolute fruit, preserved berries, some chocolate and cinnamon, slightly superficial, slightly astringent tannins, attractive finish. Quite accessible and ready to drink, in spite of the tannins.
