The winery is located in the municipality of Manzano (province of Udine) in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, The centuries-old origins lie in an estate that for many generations was in the possession of the Counts of Trento. The wines were delivered to many noble dynasties in the Habsburg Empire of Austria-Hungary and France. Since 1984, the company is owned by the Borghese family. He is led by Roberta Borghese, who gained practical experience at renowned wineries in France, California and Italy. She is supported by her daughters Nicole and Lisa. As cellar master, Ivan Sant is responsible.

The total property covers 40 hectares and is divided into the areas of Ronc di Scossai and Ronc di Subule, which surround the cellar (20 ha) and Ronc di Rosazzo (20 ha). There is also an olive cultivation. The vineyards cover 20 hectares on a mineral salt rich, marly soil, here referred to as "Ponca". They are with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Friulano ( Sauvignonasse ) Picolit, Pinot Grigio ( Pinot Gris ) Ribolla Gialla. Sauvignon Blanc, as well as with the red wines Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot. pignolo and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso planted. There is a selective manual reading in small cassettes.

The product range includes DOC / DOCG wines Colli Orientali del Friuli with sub-area Ribolla Gialla di Rosazzo, Colli Orientali del Friuli Picolit and Rosazzo, The premium wines of the house are Friulano (with very low yields from the oldest vineyards, fermentation and aging in the 45-hl wooden barrel), Ellegri Bianco (blend of Friulano wines fermented with berry, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Picolit) and Merlot Ronc di Subule (with 12 days maceration and 12 months aging in new French oak barrels). Every year around 200,000 bottles of wine are produced, of which around half are exported to Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, Australia and Canada.
