2012 Wachau Ried Kirchweg Riesling Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Light vegetal and a hint of floral notes on the nose, citrus and apricots, waxy and light tobacco traces. Ripe, quite juicy, very slightly warm, apricot fruit with a little crumbly pomaceous fruit and nutty and red berry traces, fine acidity and some grip of crumbly tannin, good persistence and substance, tobacco traces again, mineral tones in the background, certain melting, very good finish with a hint of wax and hints of bitterness. Slightly above its peak, but still very good.
