Editor note: Tart nose, light earthy, mineral and vegetal aromas, very restrained yellow fruit, hint of tobacco. Ripe, firm fruit on the palate, nutty, earthy and mineral notes, hint of tobacco, touch of pepper and salt, elegant acidity, light tannic grip, good substance and persistence, slightly creamy and spicy on a very good finish.
Best to drink: Mid-2017-2020+

One of the eight specific wine growing areas in the Austrian province or generic wine growing area of Lower Austria. It is crossed by the Danube, on whose northern bank slopes many of the most terraced vineyards are located. The partly very steep vineyards are among the steepest vineyards in Austria. The narrow valley along the Danube is only 33 kilometres long, the wine growing area 15 kilometres long.
