2014 Blanc Fumé de Pouilly AOC Les Champs des Billons, Loire, France

Herbal-herbal, floral and slightly red berry nose after pomes and citrus fruits with a touch of exoticism and greasy, yeasty and smoky notes. Quite tightly knit, dense, juicy, tart fruit, lots of yeast, floral aromas, pink grapefruit, gooseberry and elderberry, a hint of white chocolate, has depth, substance and touch, herbaceous notes, prominent, light, earthy mineral notes, again a little smoke and bacon, currant notes, Sumatra tobacco, persistent, still completely undeveloped, also firm in the long finish. Must mature.
