2001 Dolcetto di Dogliani DOC Superiore, Piedmont, Italy

Clear, ripe cherry and berry scent with herbal-vegetal, slightly floral and a hint of mineral earthy tones. Mature, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, earthy, mineral notes, dried vegetal notes, touch of old oak, fairly prominent astringent, astringent tannins, good grip and bite, good substance and persistence, full-bodied and has some depth, some mineral notes, harmonious, very good finish Finish with juice, tart seasoning and handle.

Editor note: Fairly mature, firm nose, partly dried black berries and cherries, delicate hint of licorice and sugar candy, nutty traces. Clear, polished, ripe, juicy fruit on the palate, moderate spicy oak with some cedary notes, touch of licorice again, persistent, fine, mature tannins, full-bodied and creamy, quite elegant, good persistence and depth, very harmonious, in excellent condition, mineral traces on a very good finish.
