2004 Dolcetto di Dogliani DOC Superiore, Piedmont, Italy

Tart, slightly oxidative nose, cherries and some berries, light gloral notes, dried vegetal notes, hint of licorice. Fairly mature on the palate, partly dried fruit, moderate vegetal and earthy notes, fine sandy tannins, very slightly astringent, noticeable alcohol, not particularly deep, but slightly persistent, more noticeable alcohol on the finish.
