2007 Rosso Piceno DOC Le Rene®, Marches, Italy

Partly preserved red berries, dried black berries, herbs and undergrowth on the nose, earthy and smoky notes. Cool, quite playful red berry and cherry fruit on the palate, herbaceous notes, light spice, touch of undergrowth, fairly well integrated tannins, but still astringent, has some backbone and shows its origins, not a lot of substance, attractive to good finish. Very good partner with food.
