2009 Süd-Burgenland Eisenberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Slightly developed aroma of blackberries, some pepper and dried herbs with red-berry aromas and mineral notes and a hint of clove spice. Ripe, juicy, firm fruit with quite present, ripe tannin and a certain acid bite, strong and lasting on the palate, again some pepper and cloves, good depth, lots of salty minerality, very slightly drying in the otherwise juicy and again spicy finish

Firm and juicy on the palate, ripe fruit, earthy and vegetal notes, hint of old oak, elegant acid bites, fairly prominent fine, youthful tannins, persistent and full-bocied, some licorice in the background, salty mineral notes and herbs, has some depth, very good finish.
