2016 Burg Layen Riesling trocken VDP.Ortswein, Nahe, Germany

Cool, slightly developed but at the same time also quite fresh, somewhat vegetal nose with citrus and stone fruit notes, floral traces and some minerality. Clear, taut, bright, fine-juicy, tart fruit, slightly nutty yeasty aromas, lively, very fine acidity and some grip, persistent, herbaceous-vegetal and delicately floral aromas, a hint of dark berries, quite distinct mineral spiciness, very good, juicy, grippy and finely spicy finish. A pleasure.
