2014 Hohenbeilstein Schlosswengert Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Light spicy oak on the nose, prominent tobacco notes, ripe red and black berries, earthy and herbaceous notes, some undergrowth and bacon, peppery traces. Clear, tart, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, nutty oak, tarry traces, peppery notes, lively acidity, fine sandy, youthful tannins, good substance and persistence, has bite and grip, earthy notes, undergrowth in the background, light spicy notes, hint of tobacco, touch of dried vegetal notes, medium body, more undergrowth on a very good tart, juicy finish.
