2002 Neusiedlersee Cabernet Sauvignon trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly mature nose, blackcurrants and blackberries, herbaceous and vegetal notes, light smoky notes, cedar and roasted notes. Full-bodied, juicy and quite creamy on the palate, loads of black fruit, toasted oak, earthy and vegetal traces, slightly sandy, predominantly mature tannins, good persistence, very full-bodied, good to very good finish.

Editor note: Black berries on the nose, light floral notes and some mint, mineral traces and some roasted notes. More ripe black fruit on the palate, loads of dark roasted oak, fine sandy, slightly astringent tannins, hints of smoke and soot, very creamy and full-bodied, some dark chocolate and sweetish spicy notes, cool mineral traces in the background, light vegetal aromas, good finish.
