2013 Cabernet Sauvignon trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly open nose, dried vegetal and earthy notes, some oak, blackcurrants and some cherries, cedary, herbaceous and very light peppery aromas. Clear, polished, tart fruit on the palate, again fairly open, vegetal, herbaceous and floral traces, earthy traces, some salty notes and tobacco, light smoky oak, persistent, surprisingly cool considering the very high alcohol level, leathery traces, fairly fresh, fine sandy tannins, delicate acid bite, youthful, hint of coffee grounds, very good finish.
