2003 Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC Scuro, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Ripe black berries, some plums and cherries on the nose, roasted notes and chocolate, tobacco and some sweetish spicy notes. Quite juicy on the palate, loads of ripe fruit and prominent spicy oak, fine, slightly astringent tannins, full-bodied, some mocha on the palate, very creamy, not particularly deep, fruity and roassted notes on the finish.
