2004 Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC Rosso Scuro, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Fairly mature nose, black berries, slightly green, cedary notes, smoky and roasted notes. More smoky and roasted notes on the palate, dark berry and plum fruit, dusty, astringent tannins, light vegetal notes, creamy, noticeable alcohol, some coffee and cocoa, not particularly deep, alcoholic again on an attractive finish.
