2009 Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC Cabernet Sauvignon, Friuli/Venezia-Giulia, Italy

Medium-intense nose, preserved red and black currants, herbaceous and vegetal notes, undergrowth. Fairly compact on the palate, slightly jammy blackberries and red currants, vegetal notes and old oak, touch of dark chocolate, some green herbaceous notes in the background, tannins still slightly prominent, delicate bitter notes on an attractive to good finish.

Editor note: Preserved black berries on the nose, slightly tart cherries, tart herbaceous notes, floral traces, hint of black olives. Clear, predominantly straightforward, cool style, dark ,slightly jammy fruit, hint of dark chocolate, herbaceous traces in the background, medium-fine tannins, not particularly deep, attractive finish.
