The winery is located in the municipality San Martino della Battaglia
four kilometers away from Lake Garda in the Italian region Lombardy
, The origin is in a farm called Hirundo, founded in 1908. The current name is formed from the numerous nesting swallows (Selva) and the hood-like vineyards (Capuzza = hood, hood). Connected to the winery are holiday apartments, a courtyard restaurant and a country house (Cascina) converted in 1983 for wine events. The company is managed by the fourth generation of the family, Luca Formentini is responsible for the vinification, Fabio for the farm restaurant.
The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vines with the red varieties Barbera
, as well as the white wine types Friulano ( Sauvignonasse
) and Turbiana ( Verdicchio Bianco
) are planted. The management takes place after ecological
Guidelines. Particular attention is paid to an optimal relationship between grapes and leaves. An artificial one irrigation
