The winery is located in the municipality San Martino della Battaglia
four kilometers away from Lake Garda in the Italian region Lombardy
, The origin lies in a farm founded in 1908 called Hirundo. The current name is formed by the numerous nesting swallows (Selva), as well as the capuzzenartigen vineyards (capuzza = hood, hood). Attached to the winery are holiday apartments, a farm restaurant and a converted in 1983 for wine events country house (Cascina). The company is run by the fourth generation of the family, Luca Formentini is responsible for the expansion of the wine, Fabio for the farm restaurant.
The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vineyards, with the red wines Barbera
