2013 Garda DOC Classico Superiore "Madér", Lombardy, Italy

Firm nose, ripe black berries, hint of tobacco, very light pepperyspice, some licorice, light nutty oak and some chocolate. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, prominent spicy oak andchocolate, some pepper and cardamom, light acid bire, integrated, sandy tannins, persistent andfull-bodied, noticeable warm alcohol, but also has cool elements, hint of blood in the background, salty mineral notes, more prominent spicy oak on a very good, ripe, juicy finish.
