Although Denmark has no importance in viticulture, but they have always enjoyed wine there. One of the most prominent wine lovers was King Christian IV (1577-1648). For his numerous celebrations he left barrel by barrel Riesling from the German wine-growing region middle Rhine import. Since August 2000, Denmark has been the winegrowing area of the European Union accepted. This allows Danish wine to be sold for commercial purposes. The red grape variety is an interspecific new breed between the underlay vine Millardet et Grasset 101-14 - bloomed open (Riparia x Rupestris) x Goldriesling (1). Synonyms are Frühe Schwarze, Kuhlmann 194-2 and Millot. They are genes from Vitis riparia. Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done at the Oberlin Institute in Colmar-Alsace by the breeder Eugène Kuhlmann (1858-1932). The variety was named in honor of the President of Sociéte Vosgienne de Viticulture Léon Millot (1881-1960). The new varieties were created...
