Editor note: Fairly mature nose, berry fruit, herbs and spices, touch of melissa, earthy notes. Quite firm on the palate with earthy notes, tart red berries and slightly astringent herbaceous notes, some more melissa, preserved, dried and overripe forest berries, slightly prominent but fairly well integrated sandy, astringent tannins, tart notes typical of the variety on the finish. A little less oak would have been preferable.
