2001 Oltrepò Pavese DOC Cabernet Sauvignon Corvino, Lombardy, Italy

Prominent oak on the nose, animal notes, dark berries with light spicy notes. Harmonious, with fairly clear, but not very ripe red berry and cassis fruit, some cloves and a hint of chocolate, powerful, fine-grained velvety tannins, a hint of gentle acidity, attractive finish.
